FishingHelps answers one question for any US town: when should I go fishing?Every location page combines the solunar calendar with live weather into a single daily bite score, so you can plan a trip in ten seconds instead of juggling three apps.

Where the data comes from

• Solunar windows — computed from precise lunar transit, moonrise and moonset times for your coordinates using the open-source astronomy-engine library.
• Weather — Open-Meteo forecasts: barometric pressure, wind, cloud cover, and precipitation.
• Tides — NOAA CO-OPS predictions for the nearest tide station.
• Locations — GeoNames (CC BY 4.0), covering 16,000+ US cities and towns.
• Regulations — summarized from official state agency publications, with a last-verified date and a link to the source on every page.

How the bite score works

The 0–100 score starts from moon phase strength (new and full moons rate highest), adds weight when a major feeding window overlaps sunrise or sunset, then adjusts for the barometric pressure trend, wind speed, cloud cover, and rain. Every page lists the exact factors behind its score — no black box.

Forecasts are planning estimates, not guarantees — solunar theory is a folk model with mixed scientific support, and fish famously don't read charts. Always verify fishing regulations with your state agency before you go.
